Kui 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' oli järjena üsna õhuke säensele klassikalisele kultusele nagu 'Wall Street', siis J.C Chandori 'Margin Call' täidab selle tühimiku hiilgavalt, olles ideaalseks järjeks finantsmaailma müstifitseerivate filmide jadas. Oma olemuses on tegu, põgus sissevaatega kauplemismaja argipäeva, täpselt sel hetkel kui hooletult laotud kaardimaja värisema hakkab ehk 24h hõlmav lühikokkuvõte kuis sai alguse 2008. aastal finantskriis või kuidas me tahame arvata, et finantskriis alguse sai, oleks vast isegi õigem tõlgendus, kuna film mõjub igati usutavalt ja ei jäta suurt kahtlust, et umbes nii täpselt võiski kõik sündida. Filmi peamiseks väärtuseks kujunebki J.C Chandori osksus orienteerida end Wall Streeti koridorides ning kauplevate lipsude žargooni peensusteni tajumine ja vaatajateni toomine.
